PlanoWeather.com WXSIM Generated Forecasts
Thursday, April 1st, 2010 10:28pm CDTUPDATE – Due to time requirements, we have stopped publishing these forecasts.
PlanoWeather.com will soon be providing forecasts created with WXSIM – Interactive Local Atmospheric Modeling System. WXSIM is a very unique software package – over 25 years in the making – for modeling, forecasting, or simply studying weather. Multiple forecasts will be generated daily and displayed on PlanoWeather.com alongside NWS forecasts. A comparison page will also be added for determining accuracy between WXSIM forecasts, NWS forecasts, and actual observed temperatures.
Here is the text version of the first forecast generated by PlanoWeather.com:

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010 9:16pm CDTFirst Day of Spring and it Snows in Plano!
Sunday, March 21st, 2010 11:00am CDT
Wow! We have definitely gotten our share of snow this season. Based on local reports, it appears the bulls-eye was on Collin County for this event. We recorded 8 inches of snow here with drifts of 12 to 16 inches. It is hard to believe that it is officially Spring. Another reason why I love North Texas weather; 71 degrees on Friday, 29 this morning with snow, 61 forecast for tomorrow, 72 for Tuesday. Enough with the snow already… bring on the thunderstorms!
