Monday, May 31st, 2010 11:50am CDT

UPDATE – Due to time requirements, we have stopped publishing these forecasts.

PlanoWeather.com forecasts created with WXSIM (Interactive Local Atmospheric Modeling System) are now LIVE! Forecasts are generated 4 times a day at 7am, 11am, 3pm, 9pm and are uploaded at 15 minutes past the hour following their creation. They can be viewed alongside NWS forecasts on the home page or in detail here: https://www.planoweather.com/wxsimforecast.php A comparison page will soon be added for determining accuracy between WXSIM forecasts, NWS forecasts, and actual observed temperatures.

A new page has been added to the site that displays temperature and rainfall records for a selected month – https://www.planoweather.com/wxraintemprecords.php Current records only go back to October 2009, when the PlanoWeather.com website was launched, but will become more meaningful as additional data is accumulated.

UPDATE 11/12/10: This page has been replaced with https://www.planoweather.com/wxnoaarecords.php which adds barometric pressure and snowfall records.
