SKYWARN Spotter Training – Collin County – January 21, 2012

PlanoWeather.com will be attending the Collin County Basic and Advanced Spotter Training Sessions on Saturday Jan 21 at 8:00AM-4:30PM. If you are interested in attending, it is open to the public, and you do not have to attend both sessions.

Advanced Session at 1:00-4:30 PM

2011 Collin County Skywarn and Hazardous Weather Conference

On Saturday, January 29, 2011 PlanoWeather.com attended the Collin County Skywarn and Hazardous Weather Conference. The full day annual event is free and open to the public. This year’s event welcomed close to 400 attendees and included speakers from CBS11 TV, NWS Meteorologists, Prepared in Plano, Collin County ARES, plus exhibitors. Topics discussed included Weather Safety, Flood Safety, the use of social media in weather reporting, two Basic Spotter sessions, and two Advanced Spotter sessions.
